The future is now...or something profound

Well, I am sitting in my new office here at Lakeside Baptist Church, so I guess my username is officially out-dated.

With that in mind...head over to http://www.xanga.com/uthminguy

See you in the future.

Well...I guess I should go ahead and update with the fact that I got the job in Albany.  Jess and I will be moving down next weekend.  We are very excited at the potential this position holds.

This should be interesting...

Oh, by the way, we might be at CIU on Tuesday, and if the old Bible Study group still gets together on Tuesday night, those of you left in Columbia, at least, we would like to get around and see everyone.  Jess should be making from phone calls tomorrow for details.

Well...today went well.  There are some really great people here at Lakeside Baptist Church.

We also talked about the salary package...let's just say...we are willing to accept it.  Actually, the word I used when the pastor told me what it would be, was "Wow."  Anyway...that's all I can say about that.

The church will vote on Wednesday night, and every indication we have leads us to believe that it will be an affirmative vote.

Tomorrow we are going apartment hunting...should be interesting

Well...today went well.  We met with the Children, Youth, parents and committies.  There was a lot of "head nodding," and we felt very well recieved.  -- Debbie will be happy to note that I got to play basketball with several of the students. -- Tomorrow I will give our testimony and philosophy of ministry to the church in the morning service.  Then tomorrow night we will be having a fellowship with the entire church.

Should be an interesting day.

So...I am sitting in the Hampton Inn of Albany, GA.  We are getting ready to go for dinner with the pastor of Lakeside Baptist Church and his wife.  Tomorrow we have a busy day of meeting with all sorts of people from the church.

This will be a very interesting weekend.
